The Getaway Lodge near Roanoke/Bedford/Lynchburg

It was a wonderful weekend. The house was fantastic. Had a great view of the house was very clean when we arrived and the host communicated very well with me. I would definitely re-rent this if I needed to go to the area again.

We loved this location.Nice view from the back deck.I highly recommend this location for anyone looking to get away on a quiet excursion.The house was great with everything you may need .It was just minutes from the city for restaurants and shopping.We loved jumping on the Blue Ridge Parkway and taking in the incredible views.Overall a great trip.

We had a great time during our stay, whether it was singing karaoke as a family (so much fun), enjoying my son playing guitar in the music room, or sitting and talking, we had a great time. Our dog also enjoyed himself, with plenty of room outside to take care of business, and provided bags and bins to dispose, that process was also super convenient. The views were astounding, I only wish it had been warmer so we could have enjoyed sitting outside, but even from inside the views out the windows were superb. The sleeping accommodations were comfortable, and we stayed warm despite how cold it was outside. We'll be back!

Place was better than description. Everything was modern and new. I didn't realize it was on top of a mountain. It made the trip so much better! It was snowing when we arrived and they had the place warm and cozy. Worth every pennie.

Beautiful space, you can tell the host put a lot of time and detail into everything. Our stay was great!

This place is amazing! The basement is full of options for entertaining. We played games, did some karaoke and watch movies. It is very equipped with everything you need to have a nice meal.

beautiful house in the mountains with beautiful views. everything in the house is brand new, with alot of entertainment. internet for us was great. and if you got a dog, they are really welcome there.

We traveled from NJ to VA to celebrate our granddaughter’s 3rd birthday and “The Getaway” was 6 minutes away from her house. Paul was thoughtful and put up Christmas decorations, which my granddaughter LOVED and made sure that the property was warm upon our arrival. I have shared this rental with other family members who travel to Va from NJ and we will definitely be back!

House looked just like the photos! I would recommend if you have a large dog who jumps to lead them, which I usually expect with fences so it was expected but something to keep in mind. Paul was in complete communication and quick response rate. The location is pretty high up in the mountains so if you get motion sickness easily it’s also something to keep in mind but once you get up there about 12 minutes, it’s the perfect private location with a short drive into down with multiple shops, grocery stores and bars. Perfect for families and pets. Lots of space to roam, filled with games, and the extra game rooms downstairs was a plus. All amenities were completely clean and looked like no one was there prior. We will absolutely stay again if we are in the area!

Paul’s place was the perfect stay for our family while we were in town visiting our parents. The downstairs game and media room kept both our toddler and older child entertained. The outdoor lower outdoor deck was very spacious and was a beautiful place to observe the changing leaves. The bedrooms were comfortable and there was more than enough space for my family. Paul was always very quick to respond and helpful in his responses. Will for sure consider staying here again next time we are in town!

We had a fantastic girls getaway at this really nice location and house. Very private, clean, well furnished spacious and all over a great place to stay!

Not sure where to even begin. We had a relaxing getaway with family including our dog who felt at home here too. Such a beautiful house in a beautiful location with spectacular views! Paul and I communicated back and forth quite bit just about recommendations and last minute questions. Excellent to work with and a fast response time. The house had everything we needed with a unique layout that made it feel even bigger. Modern and updated with nice details, lots to offer both upstairs and down. If you are staying in the area this is the place to book!

Everything was very professional and the house was awesome. Really cool place to stay if you’re hiking in the area. The views from the house are gorgeous. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Great house and location to fall activities we wanted to do! Multiple pumpkin patches and an apple orchard nearby! Loved having a great view with beautiful porch and fenced in yard for dogs!

We had a great stay at this beautiful property! Nice large but comfortable bedrooms and spacious, modern bathrooms. The downstairs game and TV room was cozy and a perfect spot to unwind at night. The multiple decks on the back of the house were perfect for relaxing and catching great views of the mountains, it was hard to decide which one to use the most. We wish we had more time to spend here during this stay!
