The Greenway Suite - The Historic Winona House

Absolutely loved this historic townhome, very well restored and so much character!

This was a wonderful house and will definitely be a first pick if I'm ever in Roanoke again. Not only was it a charming home, we were able to book it last minute for the Bar exam and Aaron was very responsive. It was such a relief to get a host like Aaron (I had previously had a booking for the bar that had fallen through last minute, which is the last thing I was prepared to deal with) and we had a peaceful time there. It is an old building so it can creak a bit, and you'll definitely want to fill up your water bottle before heading in for the night but it was generally easily ignored.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and fully stocked. Aaron was quick to respond when I had questions and gave good instructions for arriving and checking-out. I enjoyed being so close to the Greenway. Thank you for the recommendation for Wasena Tap Room.

This townhouse is tasteful, peaceful, and elegant. It’s beautifully maintained and has both sleek contemporary touches and gorgeous historical touches. We were surprised by how large the bedrooms and living spaces were, and we were delighted with the proximity to the Greenway, to one of our favorite Roanoke parks, and to a few beloved businesses. We had a party of three, and we northerners felt like we were spoiled by the amount of room to roam in the house itself. We were delighted by Aaron’s responsiveness and kindness, as well as how central the house was—about a mile from practically every spot we wanted to visit. We came to town for a mixed purpose of visiting family and enjoying local culture. This was the perfect location for that. I do want to add, though, that this would be an ideal location for an extended stay for people who travel for business. It seems uniquely set up for work-from-home, as well as for relaxation. I definitely hope to return! Thanks so much, Aaron!

We will definitely be coming back to this very family-friendly, spacious and comfortable Airbnb right next to the Greenway next year! We really appreciated the cleanliness, style, and lovely touches like quality soaps, sparkling water, and snacks (especially for kids). The beds and sofa were very comfortable, as well, so much so that my kids want my to upgrade ours :-)

One of our favorite parts was the cozy front porch—perfect for sipping coffee in the morning, especially with the cutest little local coffee shop just across the street. Lovely and well stocked home in a beautiful location across from the greenway. Walkable to local spots and only 10 mins from downtown area. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Great spot, would stay again!

Great place to stay in general but also for a family with two young kids (5yo and 3yo). The location is literally a 1 min walk to an awesome park, and close to everything. The place itself is well equipped and very clean! I usually don’t stay at pet friendly places due to allergies but it was so clean I never saw one strand of pet hair or anything. Not a single symptom of an allergy either. I would definitely stay at this property or any of the other properties Aaron hosts due to how well run it was. Thanks and will be back again!

This was a wonderful unit. It was clean and perfect for what we needed. The location was perfect because it was very close to my daughter. Aaron was a great host. We had a great stay! The place was as described and very comfortable!

This house is absolutely beautiful. Houses don't get built like this anymore. It was an absolutely delightful experience. The beds were comfy, the place was clean, and the water was hot. There's a nice restaurant, beer joint, convenience store, and coffee shop all super close. I know some people mentioned neighbor noise but we really didn't have any issues. There was some walking noise above the double bedroom at one point in the night but otherwise it was quiet. Its an older house so you can expect the wood floors to creek. But personally I love the character. They also provided water, coffee, creamer, sugar, and some snacks which is always nice. Id stay here again.

We had a great stay with our family over the Thanksgiving holiday. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfy. It is also in walking distance to a park with a playground and brewery!

Great place to stay in a cool neighborhood. We loved the old house charm that has been restored so nicely. Cool up and coming neighborhood. We really enjoyed grabbing coffee each morning at RND Coffee. Nice local vibe. We will stay here again and have recommended it to friends.

We were in town due to a friend having surgery at the local hospital. So we needed a place to stay to help out with their dog and give our friend’s wife a place to rest her head. Aaron’s Airbnb was perfect. It had everything we needed to make homemade meals. A wonderful place that felt like home after long days spent at the hospital. It also worked well for my husband and I who frequently had to work from home. Highly recommend staying at Aaron’s. I also suggest anyone staying there check out bloom right next door.

I have stayed in a lot of AirBNBs in Roanoke and this was one of my favorites! My dog and I had a great stay. The house was so clean, the bed was comfortable, and it felt very homey. The kitchen is decently stocked. The neighborhood has great areas to walk, and is next door to a great coffee shop and some nice restaurants. I’d love to stay again!

This is a charming place with some lovely historic details. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the house was well-appointed. One cautionary note on noise: potential renters should be aware that this is an older house with creaky floors, and you may hear some noise from tenants in the other units (there are four). That said, everyone observed quiet hours, and the neighborhood itself was quiet at night, so we didn't have a problem. The location is really convenient to the greenway, parks, and downtown, and Wasena is a nice area with cure houses and walkable streets. Overall, my family had a great visit and would be happy to stay here again!

This is a great place to stay! It was very clean, spacious. Walkable to a couple of restaurants/breweries, walking path and a coffee shop less than a block away. I would certainly recommend it!

Charming older home that has been updated without losing it's elegance.

We rented another location that did not work out and had to get something quickly. Aaron turned it around and confirmed all booking information within a few minutes, so my family could have a place to stay. We loved the home, very cool place. Very friendly and responsive to everything.

The home was absolutely charming. The attention to detail that brought the character out of the old house with a touch of modern was superb. Everything was as described. The quiet hours that I thought would be perfect for me and my two small children ended up not being so great. They slept most of our drive to get there and ended up being extremely noisy after quiet hours. I should have thought that one through. With that being said, I’m not sure how kid friendly the home is. The walls are really thin so any form of communication is heard through the walls. If you don’t want to feel like a burden, I would pick something more kid friendly unless you rent out the entire home. But overall we had an enjoyable weekend get away.

Aaron’s house was extremely well furnished, clean, and beautiful. The historic house is well restored and conveniently located near many restaurants, trails, and activities. Our family was very comfortable and would definitely stay again.

Aaron and the location were perfect for us and our kids. I was worried about the shared wall, but you couldn’t hear any of the neighbors. We were centrally located to everything we wanted to see and do. Aaron was great at responding to any needs that arose and made sure to follow up with us afterward to see if there was anything else we needed. The house was BEAUTIFUL and we loved its historic charm. The attention to details also made our stay that much smoother. With 4 kids, it was so nice that they had utensils and cups for kids as well as games for them to play. The beds and linen were fresh and comfy! All amenities were as described, so we were able to feel like home throughout our 5 day stay. We will definitely be staying there again when we come back to visit!
